The American Theatre Wing has announced the official calendar of events leading up to the 71st Annual Tony Awards. See below for the lineup of key dates ahead of Broadway's biggest night.

April 27:
Official cut-off for 2016-17 Tony Awards Eligibility. Productions which meet all other eligibility requirements, and open on or before the eligibility date, are considered eligible for 2017 Tony Award nominations.

May 2:
2017 Tony Award Nominations announced. Nominees for the 71st Annual Tony Awards will be announced the morning of May 2 at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. A live webcast of the event will be available at TonyAwards.com. Playbill will be live-reporting the nominations and sharing nominee reactions throughout the day.

May 3:
Meet the Nominees Press Reception. The 2017 Tony Award nominees and members of the press gather for this annual event. Playbill will share exclusive photos, interviews, and social media coverage throughout the event.

May 23:
Tony Nominees’ Luncheon. The 2017 nominees gather at the Rainbow Room for this private event to celebrate each other’s achievements and receive their nomination certificates.

June 5:
The Tony Honors Cocktail Party. The Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre and 2017 Special Award recipients are celebrated at this special event.

June 11:
The 71st Annual Tony Awards returns to Radio City Music Hall. The three-hour ceremony takes place 8–11 PM ET. The awards will be broadcast on CBS. Playbill will offer extensive live-coverage of the Tony Awards.
