News Tony Awards Will Be Simulcast Live to Times Square The 65th Annual Tony Awards will be simulcast live to Times Square June 12.

The simulcast, which will include the Tony Awards Red Carpet (courtesy of NY1) and the entirety of the Tony Awards show, including the Creative Arts Awards, will be seen on Clear Channel’s SpectacolorHD screen in Times Square, beginning at 6 PM ET.

NY1’s pre-show, "On STAGE’s Red Carpet to the Tonys," will be hosted by Roma Torre and Donna Karger and will feature Patrick Pacheco, Frank DiLella and Stephanie Simon. The program is also available to Time Warner Cable’s New York City Region customers in HD on channel 701 (or standard definition on channel 1).

The simulcast will take place rain or shine.

“This will be our third year simulcasting the Tony Awards live in Times Square,” said Howard Sherman, executive director of the American Theatre Wing, in a statement. “The simulcast and events in Time Square have become a fun tradition that we hope all New Yorkers will be a part of when they join us on Sunday evening.”

"It is an absolute thrill to share the Tony Awards experience with the heart of the Broadway Community - Times Square,” added Charlotte St. Martin, executive director of the Broadway League. “The simulcast gives fans the unique opportunity to share in the experience, together, and cheer on their favorite Broadway stars from the red carpet to the Award presentations. The energy on that night, in Times Square, is absolutely incredible.” CBS will broadcast the Tony Awards, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, beginning at 8 PM ET June 12.
