Almond, whose play with music On the Levee was recently seen Off-Broadway under the auspice of LCT3, created the evening of song that is based on his travels to Wyoming, Mississippi and Kansas.

On the Levee director and collaborator Lear DeBessonet will stage the 8:30 PM concert. The band will include Mike Aarons, Jon Spurney, Jeremy Chatzky and an eight-person choir led by Barrie McLain.

According to Almond, "I want the experience to be joyful – I was inspired by the themes of forgiveness and accountability, but also by the great humor of simply being a human. We can't help it, we're funny – when we're asking to be loved or when we're praying or eating or singing, we're funny, and I like to present these thoughts musically."

Ryan earned a Tony Award nomination for her performance as Stella Kowalski in the 2005 revival of A Streetcar Named Desire opposite John C. Reilly and Natasha Richardson. She has appeared on Broadway in Uncle Vanya (Tony nomination), The Women, Three Sisters and The Sisters Rosensweig. Her numerous screen credits include "Gone, Baby Gone," "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead" and "In Treatment." She currently appears on the NBC comedy series "The Office."

Almond has penned the musicals People Like Us, Kansas City Choir Boy, Ahraihsak and We Have Always Lived in the Castle, which premiered at Yale Rep last summer. His musical Girlfriend, which uses the Matthew Sweet album of the same title as its score, debuted at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre last spring. He is currently collaborating with Warren Leight and Stafford Arima on a musical adaptation of "A Separate Peace." A new adaptation of "The Odyssey," with DeBessonet, will debut at the Old Globe Theatre in September. His solo album "Mexico City" is currently available.
