Brooks is best known for her role as Taystee on the Netflix series Orange is the New Black, the seventh and final season of which is expected to release this summer. She made her Broadway debut playing iron-willed Sofia in the 2015 John Doyle-helmed revival of The Color Purple, receiving a 2016 Tony nomination for her performance. Brooks is also an executive producer on the upcoming Temptations jukebox musical Ain't Too Proud, which begins performances February 28.

This release follows Brooks' debut single "I Am Woman," released in 2017, and a Grammy win for The Color Purple's cast album.

Ramos, Hamilton's original Philip Hamilton and John Laurens, most recently appeared as Ramon in the hit film remake of A Star is Born. He was a series regular on Netflix's She's Gotta Have It, playing Mars Blackmon, and recurs as Tony on NBC's Will & Grace reboot. He will star as Usnavi in the upcoming film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda's first Broadway hit, In The Heights. Ramos also got engaged to his Hamilton co-star Jasmine Cephas Jones in January.
