News Tony Nominee Donald Byrd to Choreograph Oklahoma! in Seattle Tony Award-nominated choreographer Donald Byrd will choreograph Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!, which will be presented at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre in 2011.

A Tony nominee for his choreography for the Broadway musical The Color Purple, Byrd will collaborate with 5th Avenue producing director Bill Berry, who will direct the classic musical. Oklahoma! will run July 8-Aug. 6, 2011. Oklahoma! marks Byrd's first production with the 5th Avenue Theatre; however, his company, Spectrum Dance, has been involved in the 5th Ave productions of West Side Story and On the Town.

Designing Oklahoma! will be Walt Spangler (scenic design), Alejo Vietti (costume design), Tom Sturge (lighting design) and Zach Williamson (sound design).
