News Tony Nominee Harry Connick, Jr. Will Host Daytime TV Variety Show Two-time Tony Award nominee and two-time Emmy Award winner Harry Connick, Jr., who was last seen on Broadway in On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, will host a new daytime variety show starting in September 2016, according to Deadline Hollywood.

Titled "Harry," the show will be produced by NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution, and will premiere on Fox-owned stations in 17 markets that were not specified in the story.

The magazine described the show thus: "Drawing inspiration from the family-friendly variety shows of the past, 'Harry' will include various segments–from comedic man-on-the-street interviews, live musical performances and parodies, to hilarious stunts and audience participation and surprises."

The singer/songwriter was Tony-nominated for his performance in The Pajama Game and for the score of Thou Shalt Not. He is one of the judges on the TV talent competition show, "American Idol." Visit AmericanIdol.com for more information on that show.
