The evening, entitled Broadway at the Boat Basin: Riverside Park Fund's Annual Fundraising Gala, will be held June 21 at the 79th Street Boat Basin. The one-night-only event will honor Riverside Park Fund board member and Upper West Side restaurateur Michael O'Neal.

The fundraiser will begin at 6:30 PM with a reception, dinner and silent and live auctions. O'Hara's concert, which begins at 8:30 PM, will be followed by dessert at 9:30 PM.

Founded in 1986 by a small group of community activists, Riverside Park Fund is now a strong nonprofit partner with both the city and the community in conserving, improving and beautifying Riverside Park's 330 plus acres – from 59th to 155th Street. The evening will raise funds for park improvements.

"The annual benefit at the Boat Basin is the most important source of unrestricted funds for park maintenance and improvements," John Herrold, park administrator and Riverside Park Fund president, stated. "This year the lovely and talented Kelli O’Hara will ensure a very special evening for all. It is especially fitting that we honor Mike for his years of dedication to Riverside Park, and whose creation of the Boat Basin Café heralded the transformation of the park in the early 1990s."

Kelli O'Hara was Tony-nominated for her performances in South Pacific, The Pajama Game and The Light in the Piazza. O'Hara's other Broadway credits include Jekyll & Hyde, Follies, Sweet Smell of Success and Dracula, the Musical. She was also seen in the Reprise! staging of Sunday in the Park with George. O'Hara's debut solo recording, "Wonder in the World," is available on the Ghostlight Records label. Tickets start at $300 ($250 tax-deductible); to purchase visit www.riversideparkfund.org or call (212) 870-3070.
