Tony nominee Michael Arden will direct a private reading of Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk’s new musical Republic. The July 28 reading will feature Paul Alexander Nolan, Nikki Renee Daniels, Eric Petersen, and more.
The production is a musical adaption of Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Parts 1 and 2, set in Northern Ireland at the height of the Troubles. Republic tells a story of unlikely alliances, political ambition, and love of country.
Arden is also set to helm the upcoming Broadway revival of Once on This Island, which will open December 3. He received a Tony nomination for his direction of Deaf West's Spring Awakening.

Daniels took on the role as Nabulungi in Book of Mormon and has been seen in Porgy and Bess. Eric Petersen is currently rocking the house as Dewey Finn in Andrew Lloyd Webber's School of Rock. He has also been seen in Peter and the Starcatcher and Shrek.
