Rimalower played his final performance in the acclaimed solo play about his lifelong love of Patti LuPone and his relationship with his gay father Aug. 15. De Jesus (La Cage aux Folles, In the Heights, Domesticated) will begin performances on Sept. 8. His engagement will continue through Oct. 27.

Rimalower will continue to tour Patti Issues to Glasgow, Scotland (Aug. 22); Berlin, Germany (Aug. 29); Boston, MA (Sept. 6-7); and a South Florida mini-tour with dates to be announced.

Rimalower is also a Playbill.com contributor. Read his piece about Broadway Scene Stealers: The Men.

Here's how the play is billed: "When Ben Rimalower was eight years old, his father came out of the closet and embarked on a drug-fueled tear that left his family in tatters. Amid the chaos of his young life, Ben found comfort—like so many gay boys before him and after—in musical theater, and specifically in the transportive voice of Broadway star Patti LuPone. With a mix of comic irreverence, stark candor and show-biz bravado, Patti Issues poignantly explores the challenges facing LGBT parents and children while shining unique light on gay men's time-old obsessions with divas."

All performances are at 9:30 PM. Tickets for the Duplex run are priced $20 in advance, with a two-drink minimum. Visit PattiIssues.com for tickets. The Duplex is located at 61 Christopher Street in Greenwich Village.
