News Tony Nominee Rory O'Malley Announces Engagement Tony nominee Rory O'Malley (The Book of Mormon) got engaged to his partner Gerold Schroeder.

O'Malley announced the news on his Facebook page July 21, writing: "Last night, the love of my life Gerold Schroeder asked me to marry him and I said yes. I never thought I'd be this excited for a lifetime of Mariah Carey and watching show choir. I am the luckiest man on earth. The O'Malley/Schroeder family parties are going to rock!" O'Malley is currently performing in the Off-Broadway production Nobody Loves You at the Second Stage Theatre. His stage credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Newsical and Happy Days The Musical. His film and TV credits include "Dreamgirls," "Nurse Jackie," "Law & Order: SVU" and "1600 Penn."

O'Malley, who appeared with Schroeder in a May 2012 Gap ad to support marriage equality, is a co-founder of Broadway Impact, an advocacy group that supports equal marriage rights.
