News Tony Nominee Sam Buntrock to Stage World Premiere of Sleeping Rough Off-Broadway Tony Award nominee Sam Buntrock, who staged the multimedia-flecked revival of Sunday in the Park With George, will direct the world premiere of Kara Manning's Sleeping Rough, which will debut Off-Broadway in spring 2013.

The play, about an American woman who flees to London after experiencing a devastating loss, will play April 3-27, 2013, at the Wild Project. It is presented by Page 73 Productions.

Here's how Sleeping Rough is characterized: "An American woman, unable to forgive her country for a grave offense, ignores the entreaties of her daughter and ex-husband and flees to London to graffiti her anguish across the city of her youth. It's December 2008, and as America broadcasts news of financial crisis and political change, a fractured family roams the London streets trying to understand what sparked a fatal decision."

The play was developed as part of Theatreworks' 2012 New Works Festival. Casting and creative duties will be announced at a later date.

Manning's plays also include Mind the Gap, Killing Swans, Proposed Closure (Totalshambles) and afterdark.

Page 73 Productions also produced the world premiere of Quiara Alegría Hudes' Pulitzer Prize-winning work Elliot, A Soldier's Fuge. The Wild Project is located at 195 East 3rd Street. An on-sale ticket date will be announced. Visit page73.org.
