News Tony Nominee Schulman to Direct I Do, I Do! at Westport The Westport Country Playhouse production of Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt's two-person musical I Do, I Do! will be staged by Tony nominee Susan H. Schulman.

Schulman, who staged the 1998 Broadway revival of The Sound of Music, will direct I Do, I Do!, which will run Aug. 10-28. The musical spans 50 years in the marriage of its central characters, Agnes and Michael.

Casting and other creative duties will be announced at a later date.

Schulman has also directed Little Women on Broadway, the 1989 Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd (Tony nomination), as well as the Obie-winning production of Merrily We Roll Along, and the national tour of Sunset Boulevard with Petula Clark.

The complete Westport season follows: She Loves Me (April 20-May 8); Dinner with Friends (June 1-19); Happy Days (July 6-24); I Do! I Do! (Aug. 10-28); and The Diary of Anne Frank (Sept. 28-Oct. 16).
