News Tony, Tony, Tony: Tony-Related Events Scheduled for April and May As the cut-off date for Tony eligibility nears — May 7 — a host of Tony related events and meetings have been announced.

The Tony Administration Committee will meet April 24 at 3 PM to discuss eligibility of the Broadway productions that opened during the second half of the season. The committee will also determine how to deal with La Boheme's rotating cast of principals, one of the decisions not made during the initial meeting Jan. 16. The committee will have its final meeting May 8, the day after the Tony eligibility cut-off date. On May 12, the 2002-2003 Tony Award Nominations will be announced in an early morning ceremony at Sardi's Restaurant on West 44th Street. The annual Tony nominee press reception, which allows members of the press the chance to interview the season's Tony nominees, will take place May 14 at The View, located on the 48th floor of the Marriott Marquis

A new event, a Tony Nominees Luncheon, is scheduled for May 22 at the Rainbow Room. Nominees will be presented with their nomination certificates at the luncheon, which is not open to the press. And, the Tony Nominees Class photo will be taken in Times Square on Wednesday, May 28.

All these events lead up to what is arguably the biggest night in the theatrical calendar, The 57th Annual Tony Awards. Held at Radio City Music Hall, the Tonys will be broadcast live on CBS on Sunday, June 8 from 8 to 11 PM ET. The Tony Gala will follow at the New York Marriott Marquis.
