Parade, the Lincoln Center musical which closed last winter after a short run, will reopen next year and perhaps make its way back to New York. As reported by Playbill On-Line last May and confirmed by Parade bookwriter Alfred Uhry at the Tony ceremony, the musical will reopen in Atlanta sometime next year. It will then tour and possibly make its way back to New York.
Created, written, and narrated by Tony winner Buckley, The Mayfly is a love letter to music and New York City.
Des McAnuff will direct the world premiere of the new musical at the La Jolla Playhouse.

The musical adaptation officially opened March 21 at the Imperial Theatre.
Nadia DiGiallonardo is the music director for the new musical by Geoffrey Nauffts and Jonatha Brooke.
The production will include Bernstein’s incidental music for Lillian Hellman’s adaptation of The Lark, and Menotti’s The Unicorn, The Gorgon, and The Manticore.
The free Times Square concert was presented by The Broadway Green Alliance and Times Square Alliance.
According to theatrical production group No Guarantees, young people would go to the theatre if they knew about it.
The play by Amy Herzog officially opened April 23 on Broadway.
