The Uni TV drama will co-star Graham Rogers and David Castro.
James Foley will direct the pilot, which was penned by Nikki Toscano.
"Red Zone," according to Deadline, "centers on Holden Weller (LaPaglia), a retired CIA operative and intense high school football coach/athletic director who is pulled back into action when a terrorist event rocks Washington, D.C., forced to investigate closer to home where the next rogersgeneration of terrorists is being bred."
Rogers will be seen as Jake, a second-string quarterback who has a "special bond with Coach Weller." Castro has been cast as Reza, a "smart and thoughtful new student at the high school who has just transferred there to play baseball."
LaPaglia has also been seen on Broadway in Lend Me a Tenor and The Rose Tattoo.
