News Tony Winner Bourne's Swan Lake Tours U.S. for 10th Anniversary Tony Award-winning Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake has set off on a 10th anniversary national tour from Tempe, Arizona's Gammage Auditorium with original Broadway cast members.

Alan Vincent, Vicky Evans, Neil Penlington and Nina Goldman — of the original Broadway cast — now lead the touring company, which will play across the country.

Bourne's Swan Lake goes against the traditional ballet, which usually features females in tutus, instead casting a bold, all-male take on the swan-focused fantasy work. The work — which is set to the famous Tchaikovsky score — debuted in London in 1995 and landed on Broadway in 1998, earning Bourne Tony Awards for direction and choreography. Swan Lake was later televised on PBS' "Great Performances" and featured in the film "Billy Elliot."

Bourne danced his way into the mindset of theatregoers with his stagings of Cinderella (Evening Standard Award), The Car Man (L.A. Drama Critics' Circle Award) and Swan Lake — which earned him an Olivier Award. Recent credits include choreography on the West End staging of Mary Poppins, Play Without Words, My Fair Lady, South Pacific and Edward Scissorhands — which heads out on a UK tour following its current run at Sadler's Well.
