Tony Award winner Alan Cumming, most recently on Broadway in the revival of The Threepenny Opera, hosts the event, which is scheduled to begin at 7 PM. Joe DiPietro directs the evening with musical direction by Seth Rudetsky. The fundraiser will also honor the Sesame Workshop with the first annual Only Make Believe Community Award for "its outstanding dedication to children and families in our community and beyond." Bon Jovi founding member and keyboardist David Bryan will be presented with the James Hammerstein Award for "extraordinary dedication to children in need."
Founded by Dena Hammerstein in 1999 in honor of her late husband James Hammerstein, Only Make Believe's mission is to "bring live interactive theatre free-of-charge to children living with chronic illnesses and disabilities."
