News Tony Winner Davis May Join Roberts and Jenkins in "Eat, Pray, Love" Film Viola Davis, who won a Tony Award for her performance in August Wilson's King Hedley II and was nominated for an Academy Award for her work in "Doubt," is currently in negotiations for a role in the new film "Eat, Pray, Love."

The Hollywood Reporter says Davis is in talks to play the role of Delia, the best friend of Julia Roberts' character, in the Columbia film. Richard Jenkins also stars. Ryan Murphy, who penned the film — based on Elizabeth Gilbert's memoir — will also direct. "Eat, Pray, Love," according to the industry paper, concerns "a woman (Roberts) who sets out on an international journey of self-discovery after enduring a terrible divorce." Producers are Plan B and Red Om Films.

Viola Davis won a Tony Award for her work in August Wilson's King Hedley II. Her other stage credits include Intimate Apparel, Seven Guitars, Everybody's Ruby, As You Like It, House of Lear and God's Heart. She also has appeared in the films "Doubt" (Academy Award nomination), "Madea Goes to Jail," "State of Play," "Traffic," "Antwone Fisher," "Far from Heaven," "Syriana" and the television series "Century City."
