Denis O'Hare has joined the cast of the movie Late Night, starring Mindy Kaling and Emma Thompson, according to Deadline. The stage and screen actor is a three-time Emmy nominee for his roles in This Is Us and American Horror Story, as well as a Tony winner.

Late Night tells the story a late-night talk-show host (Thompson) who hires her first female writer (Kaling) to revitalize the show. The screenplay is penned by Kaling and will be directed by Nisha Ganatra; additional casting includes John Lithgow, Hugh Dancy, Reid Scott, and Paul Walter.
O’Hare's Broadway credits include the 1998 revival of Cabaret, in which he played Ernst Ludwig; George Bernard Shaw's Major Barbara (2001); Richard Greenberg’s drama Take Me Out (2003), for which he earned a Tony Award; Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s Assassins (2004); the 2005 revival of Sweet Charity; Inherit the Wind (2007); and Elling (2010).
