Grey, who created the role of the Emcee in the original Broadway production of Cabaret, has tentatively titled his autobiography "Master of Ceremonies." It will be released by Flatiron Books, an imprint of Macmillan.
By email, Grey told the New York daily that his memoirs would have "the arc and details of both my work and my personal journey."
Grey won a Tony Award for his role as the Emcee in the original Broadway production of Cabaret and later repeated the role on film to Oscar-winning effect. Grey's other theatrical credits include roles in Chicago, George M!, Goodtime Charley, The Grand Tour and the long-running musical Wicked. Grey is a Kennedy Center honoree.
