Tony Winner John Cullum Stars in Christmas Classic, Opening Tonight Off-Broadway

News   Tony Winner John Cullum Stars in Christmas Classic, Opening Tonight Off-Broadway John Cullum, whose career on Broadway spans 60 years, five Tony nominations and two wins, stars in the Irish Repertory Theatre's Off-Broadway staging of A Child's Christmas in Wales, which officially opens Dec. 6 following previews that began Nov. 24. Dylan Thomas' classic holiday tale is adapted and directed by IRT artistic director Charlotte Moore.

Performances are scheduled to run through Jan. 3, 2016, at the DR2 Theatre in Union Square. 

The cast also includes Jacque Carnahan, Katie Fabel, Kenneth Quinney Francoeur and Ashley Robinson.

In A Child's Christmas in Wales, a snowy Christmas day is seen through the eyes of a child, and features haunting ghost stories, frosted treats and puddings, and adventures in the city park.

The production has musical direction by Mark Hartman, costume design by David Toser and lighting design by Michael Gottlieb. The production stage manager is Pamela Brusoski, and the assistant stage manager is April Kline.
