News Tony Winner Katz to Receive Ruth Morley Award June 15 The League of Professional Theatre Women will honor Tony Award-winning lighting designer Natasha Katz during its annual Spring Luncheon June 15.

The acclaimed designer will be presented with the 2006 Ruth Morley Designing Woman Award at noon at Trattoria Dopo Teatro. The award is named for late costume designer Ruth Morley, who was best known for her designs for "Annie Hall," "Tootsie" and "Prince of Tides." Previous winners include Jane Greenwood, Jennifer Tipton, Willa Kim, Marjorie Bradley Kellogg, Tharon Musser, Carrie Robbins and Heidi Ettinger.

The afternoon event will also honor The Looking Glass Theatre with the Lucille Lortel Award for emerging creative talent. Justine Lambert, artistic director of the theatre company, will be on hand to receive the $2,500 award.

Natasha Katz, who won a Tony Award for her lighting designs for Aida, is nominated again this season for her work for Disney's newest Broadway offering, Tarzan. She was also Tony-nominated for her designs for Beauty and the Beast, Twelfth Night and Sweet Smell of Success.
