Abingdon Theatre will present a staged reading of the new play My Mother, My Sister & Me Dec. 13 in the June Havoc Theatre.

Directed by Erv Raible, the reading of Sherri Heller's comedic play is scheduled for 7:30 PM. The cast will comprise Tony winner Kelly Bishop, Lucy DeVito, Randy Schein, Pamela Tate, Felipe A. Dieppa, David Kreminitzer and Casey Sylvestro.

The play, according to press notes, "about the coming of age of a young Holly Abrams and her working middle-class Jewish family set in the Bronx during the summer of 1969. Amid the changing cultural, social and political landscape in the Bronx, witness the struggles, hopes and dreams of the Abrams family in this warm-spirited comedy. It is the first installment of a trilogy of full-length plays by Heller that visits the Abrams family from 1969-1979. But for now … it’s summer in the Bronx and boy is it hot!"

The June Havoc Theatre is located at 312 West 36th Street, 2nd Floor. For reservations to the reading, call (973) 731-1674 or email sheridan930@aol.com.
