Tony Award winner Laura Benanti, who recently wrapped her Broadway run in Steve Martin’s Meteor Shower, has announced upcoming concert dates for her solo show, Tales from Soprano Isle, as well as her joint show with mom Linda Benanti, The Story Goes On.
The mother and daughter will offer The Story Goes On at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. (March 9 in the Terrace Theater), the Landmark on Main Street in Port Washington, New York (April 14), and a special Mother’s Day weekend at Feinstein’s at the Nikko in San Francisco (May 11–13).
The Tony winner will also be seen at the South Orange Performing Arts Center in New Jersey (March 10), the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts in Scottsdale, Arizona (March 17 with Seth Rudetsky), the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater in Chicago (March 18, a benefit for Chicago Theatre Workshop), the Barrington Stage Company Gala in Pittsfield, Massachusetts (July 23), The Cabaret! in Indianapolis, Indiana (July 27–28), and the Brigham Young University's Franklin S. Harris Fine Arts Center in Provo, Utah (September 7).
A Tony Award winner for Gypsy in 2008, Benanti earned her fifth Tony nomination for the 2016 Broadway revival of She Loves Me. Her stage appearances also include Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Nine, The Wedding Singer, Swing!, In the Next Room or the Vibrator Play, and Into the Woods. On screen, Benanti is known for her roles on Nashville, Supergirl, The Good Wife, and NBC’s The Sound of Music Live!
Benanti has been a special guest performer on Playbill’s Broadway on the High Seas cruises.
