The Broadway favorite was scheduled to offer A Woman On Love Feb. 14 at 7 PM and 10 PM in the Langston Hughes Auditorium at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.

A statement from the Negro Ensemble Company reads, "It is with sincere regret that The Negro Ensemble Company, Inc. has to inform you that the Lillias White concerts have been cancelled. Unfortunately, due to the inclement weather forecast and severe snow warnings, we believe the cancellation is the best option. In addition, we need to allow our patrons and supporters the opportunity to recoup any loss that they may incur under these circumstances. We are indeed greatly saddened by this turn of events.

"We were honored at Ms. White's acceptance to perform in benefit for our company. She has sacrificed a great deal of time, incredible effort and her special gifts to prepare the benefit for NEC. Her talent is unparalleled, matched only by her generosity of spirit. We thank her for the offer of both."
