News Tony Winner Mitchell to Play Westhampton, New Orleans, Houston and Long Beach Tony Award-winning baritone Brian Stokes Mitchell has announced several upcoming concert dates, including a stop at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center in September.

Having just concluded his run as Sky Masterson in the starry Hollywood Bowl presentation of Guys and Dolls, Mitchell will play the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center in New York on Sept. 5, followed by a performance at the George Mason University Center for the Arts in Fairfax, VA on Sept. 26 as part of the ARTS by George! benefit. Additional tour engagements include The Big Easy Meets the Big Apple benefit in New Orleans (Oct. 10); the Jones Hall for the Performing Arts in Houston, TX (Oct. 16-18); the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in Brookville, NY (Oct. 24); the Queen Mary Event Park benefit gala in Long Beach, CA (Dec. 11); the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, FL (Dec. 12); and Bass Performance Hall in Ft. Worth, TX (Feb. 19-21, 2010).

Brian Stokes Mitchell earned a Tony nomination for his performance in the title role of Man of La Mancha. He won the 2000 Tony, Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk awards for his performance as Fred Graham/Petruchio in Kiss Me, Kate. He has also appeared on Broadway in King Hedley II; Ragtime; Kiss of the Spider Woman; Jelly's Last Jam; Oh, Kay!; Mail; and the City Center Encores! presentations of Kismet, Do Re Mi and Carnival. His television work includes appearances on "Trapper John, M.D.," "Roots" and "Frasier." His Playbill Records CD is entitled "Brian Stokes Mitchell."
