Entitled "People in New Jersey," the cast will also feature Sarah Silverman and Topher Grace, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The half-hour series, the industry paper reports, "revolves around an adult brother and sister living in the Garden State who ponder life's big and small questions as they struggle to get through the day. It's described as a hilarious, poignant look at life today as seen through the prism of a brother and sister living in New Jersey. They each struggle to get through the day, asking themselves the big questions, little questions and everything in between."

Grace will play "affable locksmith" Carl Levin, with Silverman as part-time department store worker Melanie Levin, who was formerly a management consultant. Broadway favorite LuPone has been cast as their mother, a widow named Rachel Levin.

The pilot will be penned by Eric Kaplan, who will executive produce the series with Michaels, Andrew Singer and Paul Feig; the latter will also direct the pilot.

Supervising producer is Ilene Landress; Jessie Henderson and Gina Heyman are producing the comedy for HBO Entertainment, Broadway Video and Feigco Entertainment.

LuPone is a Tony Award winner for her performances in Evita and Gypsy and an Olivier winner for her work in Les Miserables and The Cradle Will Rock. Read more about the award-winning artist's career in the Playbill Vault.
