News Tony Winner Peters Will Debut "Kramer Dog" at FAO Schwarz Nov. 8 Two-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters, most recently seen in the Lifetime film "Living Proof," will debut a plush dog based on her best-selling children's book "Broadway Barks" Nov. 8 at FAO Schwarz.

Kramer doll and "Broadway Barks" book
The Kramer dog is based on the character in the "Broadway Barks" book (and Peters' own rescued dog of the same name). All of Peters' royalties from the dog will be donated to Broadway Barks, the organization co-founded a decade ago by Peters and Mary Tyler Moore. The FAO Schwarz event, which begins at 1 PM, will also feature a reading of "Broadway Barks" by actress-singer Peters. A question-and-answer session and book signing will follow.

Peters will also make an appearance on CW Morning News Nov. 6 and will chat about the new plush dog, which is available exclusively at FAO Schwarz.

Bernadette Peters was last on Broadway in the acclaimed revival of Gypsy, for which she received a 2003 Tony Award nomination for her performance as Rose in the Sam Mendes-directed production. She won her two Tonys for her performances in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Song & Dance and Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun, and she has also starred on Broadway in Mack & Mabel, On the Town, Sunday in the Park with George, The Goodbye Girl and the original production of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods. Peters' newest live recording, "Sondheim, Etc., Etc.—Bernadette Peters Live at Carnegie Hall (The Rest of It)," is available on the Angel Records label. Masterworks Broadway has also released a "Legends of Broadway" CD celebrating her theatrical career. Peters' screen credits are numerous.

FAO Schwarz is located in Manhattan at 767 5th Avenue (at 58th Street).
