Randy Graff as The Lady with All the Answers

Tom Moore directs the work to play at the San Diego company's Cassius Carter Centre Stage, Aug. 6-Sept. 11 with an official opening Aug. 11. Playwright-adapter Rambo (God’s Man in Texas, Paint Your Wagon) pens The Lady with All the Answers drawn from advice columnist Ann Landers' letters and life. The work turns the tables on the woman who provides counsel to the lovelorn, lost and lonely as she "suddenly finds herself with a deadline looming for a column on a new kind of heartbreak: her own."

Graff stars — who earned her Tony for her turn in City of Angels — returns to the Old Globe stage where she has appeared in A…My Name Is Still Alice. The stage veteran was recently seen on Broadway in the revival of Fiddler on the Roof and Off-Broadway in The Long Christmas Ride Home. Other of her numerous credits include A Class Act, Moon Over Buffalo, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, Falsettos, Les Miserables, High Society, Grease, Hotel Suite, Do Re Mi and Coming Attractions.

Director Moore staged the original Broadway run of the Pulitzer Prize-winning ‘Night Mother (Tony nominated) and the original production of Grease. He received another Tony nomination for Over Here and also directed Moon Over Buffalo, Once in a Lifetime, Division Street, The Octette Bridge Club and Frankenstein. His work that has been seen at The Old Globe include The Importance of Being Earnest (1982) and Fallen Angels (1985).

The design team features Ralph Funicello (scenic), Robert Morgan and Robert Blackman (costumes), Chris Rynne (lighting) and Paul Peterson (sound). David John O'Brien serves as stage manager.
