News Tony Winner Redgrave to Guest on FX's "Nip/Tuck" Vanessa Redgrave, who earned a 2003 Tony Award for her performance in the revival of Long Day's Journey Into Night, will make a rare TV series appearance June 22.

Redgrave will guest on the FX series "Nip/Tuck," according to gossip columnist Liz Smith. The celebrated actress will star in four episodes of the series, which concerns the lives of two neurotic plastic surgeons. Redgrave will portray a child psychiatrist who is interested in a facelift. Actress Joely Richardson, Redgrave's daughter, is a regular on the hit series. Born in London in 1937, Vanessa Redgrave made her Broadway debut in The Lady from the Sea. She also starred on The Great White Way in Orpheus Descending and the 2003 revival of Long Day's Journey Into Night, earning a Tony Award for her performance in the latter. Redgrave won an Academy Award for her work in "Julia"; she was also Oscar nominated for her roles in "Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment," "Isadora," "Mary, Queen of Scots," "The Bostonians" and "Howards End."
