News Tony-Winning Producer Joins Cast of Perfect Crime Tony Award-winning producer Hugh Hysell (Peter and the Starcatcher; Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike) is set to join the cast of Perfect Crime Off-Broadway. He is tapped to play the role of the dually charming and savage serial killer Lionel McAuley in the murder-mystery whodunit.

Hysell will begin performances in the new role June 1 at the Anne L. Bernstein in the Theater Center.

Perfect Crime is Off-Broadway's longest-running play, recently celebrating a record-breaking 11,000 performances. The story follows a psychiatrist who has been thought to have murdered her wealthy husband and the detective who falls in love with his prime suspect.

Hysell's New York City credits include My Big Gay Italian Wedding, My Big Gay Italian Funeral and The All-Male Importance of Being Earnest. He has toured the U.S. in The Phantom of the Opera, Pippin, Pirates of Penzance and The Fantasticks.

Perfect Crime also stars Catherine Russell, who has performed in the show since its first performance 28 years ago, landing her in the "Guinness Book of World Records."
