News Tony-Winning Titanic Will Sail Into Chicago's Griffin Theatre Company This Fall Chicago's Griffin Theatre Company will present the Tony-winning musical Titanic this fall, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Directed by Scott Weinstein, the hit musical will play the 100-seat Theater Wit beginning Oct. 18. Elizabeth Doran is the musical director for the production, which will continue through Dec. 7.

Casting will be announced at a later date.

The Chicago staging will feature a version of the musical that has been reworked to suit more intimate spaces. Orchestrations are by Ian Weinberger.

Titanic won 1997 Tony Awards for Best Book of a Musical (Peter Stone), Best Musical, Best Orchestrations (Jonathan Tunick), Best Score (Maury Yeston) and Best Lighting Design (Stewart Laing).
