Broadway News Tony Yazbeck to Return to Chicago as Billy Flynn The Tony nominee is succeeding Christopher Sieber in the leading role.

Tony nominee Tony Yazbeck is set to return to Chicago on Broadway March 14 in the role of slick lawyer Billy Flynn. The actor will succeed Christopher Sieber, who plays his final performance March 13.

Yazbeck previously played the role of Billy Flynn for two months in the fall of 2011 before his Tony-nominated turn in On the Town. He was last seen on Broadway as J.M. Barrie in Finding Neverland.

Chicago, playing at the the Ambassador Theatre, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary on Broadway and is the longest-running American musical in Broadway history.

The production currently stars Charlotte d’Amboise as Roxie Hart, Lana Gordon as Velma Kelly, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart, NaTasha Yvette Williams as Matron “Mama” Morton, and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.

With a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, Chicago is directed by Tony winner Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Tony winner Ann Reinking in the style of Bob Fosse.

Produced by Barry and Fran Weissler, Chicago is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording.
