Created and produced by John Capo, The Pop Show will take place at 7 PM at Birdland. It has music direction by Benet Braun.
In addition to Pinkins (A Time To Kill; Caroline, or Change), Dixon (The Color Purple, The Scottsboro Boys) and McDonel (American Idiot, Hairspray), the concert will feature William Blake (Echoes of Etta), Capathia Jenkins (Newsies, Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me), N'Kenge (Motown The Musical) and "American Idol" Top 10 finalist Erika Van Pelt.
The evening promises material from Jackson's numerous albums, as well as stories from his career and the inspirations behind the music.
