News "Too Darn Hot": "Broadway in Bryant Park" Aug. 3 Show Canceled Apparently it really will be "Too Darn Hot" to quote Cole Porter. The Aug. 3 performance of the "Broadway in Bryant Park" summer series has been canceled, according to sponsor 106.7 Lite FM, "Due to Heat Emergency."

Chicago, Monty Python's Spamalot, The Lion King, and I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change were scheduled to perform at the outdoor show tune concerts featuring performers from Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals. A spokesperson for the event said they are working on rescheduling the shows.

Radio station 106.7 Lite FM presents the series which plays every Thursday through Aug. 10 at the midtown Manhattan park from 12:30 PM to approximately 1:30 PM.

The remaining performance, Aug. 10, will feature The Fantasticks, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Actors Fund: The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas. The raindate for this final show is Aug. 11.

Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis for the annual summertime series. In the case of rain, check the radio's website for changes.
