The top three finalists for "American Idol XIII" were named on the May 8 broadcast of the hit singing competition. Alex Preston, Caleb Johnson and Jena Irene will compete for the top prize following the elimination of Jessica Meuse, 23, from Slapout, AL, who received the least number of votes.
On the May 14 broadcast of "Idol," the 500th episode of the series, the three remaining finalists will return to their hometowns and find out what songs the judges and mentor Randy Jackson have chosen for them to perform.
