Joy Zinoman directs Thomas W. Jones II as Lincoln and Jahi Kearse as Booth. Performances play The Studio Theatre's Mead space. The staging is co-produced with the Mixed Blood Theater Company, in Minneapolis. Mixed Blood's production stage manager will work the DC run and Zinoman and designers Russell Metheny (set) and Michael Lincoln (lighting) will travel to Minneapolis to re-stage the work in November. The play focuses on two African-American brothers. The older, Lincoln, is a retired three-card monte con man now working in an amusement arcade impersonating Abe Lincoln, who is "shot" by strangers. Booth, his younger brother, is a petty thief trying to get into the card hustling game and win over a woman.
