Terminus, presented by Outside the March in association with Mirvish Productions, won four major awards: Best Production of a Play, Best International Play (Mark O'Rowe), Best Director of a Play (Mitchell Cushman) and Best Design (Nick Blais).
Hannah Moscovitch received Best Canadian Play for This Is War, and Michelle Monteith was honored for Best Actress in a Play for her performance in Little One, also by Moscovitch. Stuart Hughes won Best Actor in a Play for his role in The Crucible, and Best Supporting Actor in a Play went to Alon Nashman for THIS. Maev Beaty won Best Supporting Actress in a Play for Michael Healey's Proud.
Bruce Dow won Best Actor in a Musical for his performance as Leigh Bowery in Of a Monstrous Child: a Gaga Musical, and Bree Greig won Best Actress in a Musical for Do You Want What I Have Got? A Craiglist Cantata.
Best Supporting Actor in a Musical went to Darrin Baker for Falsettos, and Bryn McAuley won Best Supporting Actress in a Musical as Little Red Riding Hood in Snow White: The Deliciously Dopey Family Musical. The Toronto Theatre Critics' Awards are voted upon by critics representing five of the city's newspapers and weeklies: The Globe and Mail (J. Kelly Nestruck), The Grid (Martin Morrow), Now (Glenn Sumi), The National Post (Robert Cushman) and the Toronto Star (Richard Ouzounian). The critics considered shows that opened between June 2012 and May 2013.
