As previously reported, the cast also includes Tony Award nominee Frances Conroy (The Ride Down Mt. Morgan), James Murray and Patrick Heusinger (Next Fall, Fiddler on the Roof).

The project, written by Michael McDonald, is set in the future in a society where humans co-exist with mechanical androids that look like people but are treated like second-class citizens.

Feldshuh has been cast as the head of the police department's Mechanical Control Division. Conroy will play Lydia, whose late husband founded the firm that makes Mechanicals.

Feldshuh was nominated for Tony Awards for her performances in Yentl, Sarava, Lend Me a Tenor and Golda's Balcony. She has also been seen on Broadway in Cyrano, Dreyfus in Rehearsal, Rodgers & Hart and Irena's Vow.
