It's still unofficial, but producers are getting ready to announce that Tracy Nelson will be the new Rizzo when Sheena Easton leaves the Broadway production Nov. 23. Nelson may best be known for appearing as a nun opposite Tom Bosley on TV's Father Dowling Mysteries.
Press representative Bridget Klapinski also noted that the current Teen Angel, Kevin Anthony, and Miss Lynch, Mimi Hines, will be staying with the show for some time to come.
Grease, directed and choreographed by Jeff Calhoun, plays at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. It opened May 11, 1994 and is approaching its 1000th performance.
