News Train Service Advisory: Broadway's Twentieth Century Shuffles for Oscar Nominee Baldwin Roundabout Theatre Company's upcoming Broadway staging of Twentieth Century will rework its playing schedule to accommodate Alec Baldwin's attendance of the Academy Award ceremony.

Baldwin — who is Oscar-nominated for his turn in the film "The Cooler" — will perform opposite Anne Heche in Twentieth Century on Feb. 27 as scheduled. The will be no performances Feb. 28-March 1. The regular schedule will resume March 2.

The Roundabout revival of the Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur comedy based on a play by Charles Bruce Millholland opens March 25 at the American Airlines Theatre for a limited run slated through May 9.

Alec Baldwin (A Streetcar Named Desire), Anne Heche (Proof), Tom Aldredge (Into The Woods) and Julie Halston (Gypsy) star in the play. Walter Bobbie directs the new Ken Ludwig adaptation of the play.

Twentieth Century is the 1932 comedy set aboard the title luxury train en route from Chicago to New York. In an effort to revive his failing career, a Broadway producer hops on the Twentieth Century Limited to convince a famous movie actress (who also happens to be his former protege) to sign a contract with him.

The cast of Twentieth Century also features Terry Beaver (The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Henry IV), Teagle F. Bougere (45 Seconds From Broadway), Dan Butler (The Hothouse, Biloxi Blues), Stephen DeRosa (Into the Woods, Henry IV), Kellie Overbey (Betty's Summer Vacation), Ryan Shively (The Man Who Had All the Luck) and Jonathan Walker (The American Plan). First based on a play by Bruce Millholland, the show was later adapted into the 1978 Tony Award-winning musical On the Twentieth Century by Adolph Green, Betty Comden and Cy Coleman, and starring John Cullum, Madeline Kahn, Kevin Kline and Imogene Coca.

The designers include John Lee Beatty (sets), William Ivey Long (costumes), Peter Kaczorowski (lights) and Acme Sound Partners (sound).
