The jazz band is joined each week by a Broadway performer, who offers tunes from the Great American Songbook. The series will next welcome Carter Calvert, who made her Broadway debut in It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues.
Traina and his Quintet have already been joined by Howard McGillin, Angel Desai, Darcie Roberts, Terri White and Robyn Hurder. Two shows are offered each Tuesday night, beginning at 9:30 PM and ending at midnight.
Joe Traina, an accomplished clarinetist and saxophonist, leads the Joe Traina Quintet on "Tea for Two," his newest CD that was released in December 2006. The recording features a mix of Broadway show tunes and jazz standards. He is joined on the 12-track disc by Mike Karn (tenor saxophone), Tim Regusis (piano), Scott Neumann (drums) and Sean Smith (bass).
