News Triple Threats To Have Premiere in L.A., Jan. 22 Triple Threats, a dark comedy about the lengths actors will go to get work in films, will have its world premiere at the Third Street Theatre on Jan. 22. Triple Threats, a dark comedy about the lengths actors will go to get work in films, will have its world premiere at the Third Street Theatre on Jan. 22. The run is through Feb. 26. Playwrights Alec Holland and Melissa Samuels portray a pair of performers who, in their desperate quest for employment, literally turn a writer-director into a captive interview.

Holland has appeared on "Seinfeld" and "Getting Personal." Samuels is a series regular on Lifetime channels's "Maggie." Mark Fite plays the writer-director.

Triple Threats reunites director Steve Rudnick and producer Stefanie Ziev, who worked together on last season's The Jack Monty Show, which ran four months at the Egyptian Theatre.
