British trumpeter Alison Balsom makes her New York debut in the second "Free for All at Town Hall" concert on May 13.

Recently named one of "tomorrow's classical superstars" by Gramophone magazine, Balsom, who studied with Hê‰kan Hardenberger and John Wallace, will perform with the Balsom Ensemble, which consists of a pianist, cellist and harpsichordist/pianist.

The program includes Balsom's own transcriptions of compositions by Bach, Handel, Purcell, de Falla, Oskar Lindberg and Astor Piazzola.
