News Truth About Santa, by Urinetown's Kotis, to Play the Kraine Theater The Truth About Santa, which was penned by Urinetown Tony winner Greg Kotis, will begin previews at Off-Broadway's Kraine Theater Dec. 3.

Directed by Obie winner John Clancy, the new play with music will officially open Dec. 6 and run through Dec. 20.

The cast will feature Bill Coelius, Paul Urcioli, Nancy Walsh, Jeff Gurner, Clay Adams and the entire Kotis family: India Kotis (age 11), Milo Kotis (age 8) and Ayun Halliday (Kotis' wife).

"Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!," according to The Truth About Santa a press release. "And the terrible truth about who he is, how he treats his elves, and what his home life has become will all be revealed in The Truth About Santa. Will this Christmas be Santa's last? Will Mrs. Claus finally make good on her threat to submerge humanity in a lake of fire? Who are these children and where did they get their strange powers?"

The production, press notes state, is "not for children —adults and extremely skeptical tweens only, please."

Show times are Wednesday-Friday at 8 PM and Saturday at 5 and 8 PM. The Kraine Theater is located at 85 East 4th Street (between 2nd and 3rd Avenues). Tickets, priced $18, are available by calling (212) 868-4444 or by visiting www.HorseTRADE.info.
