Presented by the Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company, the stage adaptation of Tuesdays with Morrie officially opens May 12 and runs through May 30 under the direction of Ted Dykstra. Linden, who has appeared on Broadway in The Rothschilds (Tony Award), Cabaret, I'm Not Rappaport and Bells Are Ringing, stars in the title role opposite Canadian stage veteran Rick Roberts.

Tuesdays with Morrie recounts the relationship between sportswriter Mitch Albom and his former college professor Morrie Schwartz, who suffered from ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Playwright Hatcher adapted the best-selling 1997 memoir along with Albom for the stage production.

Designing the production are Philip Silver (set and costumes), Bonnie Beecher (lighting) and Creighton Doane (soundscape).

For tickets, priced $52-$92, phone (416) 872-5555 or visit Ticketmaster.ca. The Winter Garden Theatre is located at 189 Yonge Street in Toronto.
