Tony Awards Turner Classic Movies Celebrates the Tonys with Two-Day Filmfest Turner Classic Movies will celebrate the upcoming Tony Awards with “Countdown to the Tonys: A Film Festival of Tony-Winning Broadway Musicals.”

The movie marathon will begin Friday, June 6 at 8 PM ET with the film version of “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” based on the 1962 Tony-winning Best Musical. The evening will also feature broadcasts of “The Music Man” (10:15 PM), “South Pacific” (1 AM) and “42nd Street” (4 AM). June 7 will also feature four films based on Tony-winning musicals. “Cabaret” — starring Joel Grey and Liza Minnelli — kicks off the evening at 8 PM and will be followed by “Guys and Dolls” (10:15 PM), “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” (1 AM) and “Kiss Me, Kate” (3 AM). The 57th Annual Tony Awards will be broadcast June 8 on CBS-TV, 8-11 PM ET. Hugh Jackman, due on Broadway in the fall in The Boy From Oz, will host the ceremonies live from Radio City Music Hall.
