News TV's Bobby Rivers' We Can't All Be Matt Lauer Cancels Last, Dec. 18, Performance The final performance of We Can't All Be Matt Lauer, or Bobby Rivers' Misadventures in Broadcasting which was scheduled for Dec. 18 at New York City's Miranda Theatre will not take place. According to a production spokesperson, the last show was canceled owing to a death in the family. The one-man show began Nov. 13.

According to a production spokesperson, the last show was canceled owing to a death in the family. The one-man show began Nov. 13.

In We Can't All Be Matt Lauer, Rivers told of the incidents that went on behind the scenes at some of the television shows he's worked on, including FOX's "Good Day New York" and NBC's "Weekend Today in New York." He also talked about being one of the original veejays on VH-1 in this chronicle of his life in the business. Rivers is the current film critic of ABC/ Lifetime's "Lifetime Live.”

Matt Lenz, who serves as a resident director for Broadway's Beauty and the Beast as well as the production's national tour, handled the directorial duties on this production.

We Can't All Be Matt Lauer played at the Miranda Theatre which is located at 259 West 30th St.
