LOS ANGELES -- Shakespeare's Two Gentlemen of Verona will be presented by the Santa Susana Repertory Company, opening July 9. The Bard's early comedy concerns the rivalry between childhood friends, Valentine and Proteus, for the love of much-sought-after Sylvia.
It will be performed 8 PM Thursday through Saturday at Kingsmen Park, California Lutheran University, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks. The show runs through July 26.
Grounds are open for picnicking at 5:30 PM. Festival seating is available for those who bring their own chairs or blankets. Limited reserved seating also is available. Tickets are priced at $20. For information, call (805) 493-3415.
