The world-premiere performances of Daniel Catšn's Salsipuedes, a Tale of Love, War, and Anchovies and Mark Adamo's Lysistrata, or the Nude Goddess will be broadcast on NPR's World of Opera this fall.

Both operas were premiered by Houston Grand Opera last season.

Salsipuedes will be broadcast on October 29. The cast included Ana Maria Martinez as Lucero, Zheng Cao as Magali, Chad Shelton as Ulises, and Scott Hendricks as Chucho; Guido Maria Guida conducted.

Lysistrata will be broadcast on November 19. The world-premiere production starred Emily Pulley in the title role, and also featured Chad Shelton, Myrna Paris, Victoria Livengood, and Joshua Winograde. Stefan Lano conducted.

Other highlights of the HGO's fall broadcast schedule include Madame Butterfly with Patricia Racette (October 22) and Falstaff with Bryn Terfel (December 3).
